It was a good day, Coco’s Birthday and me happier. Started off down at Carats’s cafe in the morning doing some work and drinking a coffee with some eggs on toast. I had put my laptop in some strange power scheme the night before so the battery did not have its usual power, still I was able to make some good website edits and did some good work; spending 45 minutes on live chat with MrShite trying to get a domain moved into 123-reg – finally managed to entreat them to change the A record for me.
Anyway, left Carats to do some errands ( picking up some much needed cash ) and was back there by 11 am ( Low tide being 1sh ).
The wind was very blustery and I was not sure if I would go in or not but, screwing my courage to the sticking point, I cladded up and strod into the wind along the new beach walk.
There was 2 people in at the harbour and that made 5 as 3 of us arrived simultaneously. The wind was pouring over us – the harbour walls proffering little protection from the wind – and paddling out was horrendous.
Still, I spent a happy two hours in there as the waves varied from 3-4 feet and I rode to my best pretty much, getting some lovely swicthing stance right turns which pleased me mostly.
As I said, paddling out into the wind took its toll and I retreated after a respectable couple of hours back to the car park. I bumped in to Neven there who was taking a breather between windsurf sessions. We chatted a bit and I watched him ride out again and zipping up saw himn pull off a nice overhead somersault.
Next I retired to the cafe for a full breakfast ( with mushrooms ) as my stomach had that empty cold feeling you really earn in the sea.
The site’s A record had propagated and I hastily configured the config.php file which i had happily hidden.
Neven returned and checked his emails ( 14 iphone cases sold whilst windsurfing ).
I filled up my stomach, whilst my soul was filled with stoke already.
