Lying naked on the beach,
the night breeze blowing, fresh, from the sea
a calm lay upon my soul,
my spirit, usually so hungry, slept.
And there, amongst the dusty stars
rose something within me:
natures eternal flame.

And with the lapping waves
and the murmur of the drifting air
I beheld the moon
as had countless others before me.
Sinking into the sand, I let the earth
and sky encircle me.
And I slept in peace
